Power and Battery Organization

A good electrical system needs to be safe, serviceable and understandable long after the first installation.

Organization is part of reliability

Clean routing and labelled components make future troubleshooting far easier. The goal is not only to make the installation look tidy, but to reduce failure points and make maintenance practical.

Build considerations

  • Appropriate fusing close to power sources
  • Cable sizing for expected loads
  • Ventilation and secure battery mounting
  • Accessible disconnects
  • Room for future expansion

What to add

Document the battery type, capacity, inverter, DC distribution, charging sources and the loads normally used during a weekend.
