Rear Storage and Cabinetry

Storage works best when it reduces setup time rather than simply holding more equipment.

A place for everything

The biggest benefit of structured storage is repeatability. When frequently used gear always lives in the same place, camp setup becomes faster and forgotten items become less common.

What works well

  • Separating kitchen, recovery, electrical and sleeping gear
  • Keeping heavy items low and secure
  • Maintaining access from the rear door
  • Using simple hardware that can be repaired

Next refinements

Add drawer dimensions, materials, total weight and lessons learned from living with the layout over several trips.
